Wellington: Wild Skyline Guided Hiking Tour, Transfers + Lunch

This guided hike follows the Skyline Walkway from Makara Road to Khandallah, covering 11.6km with 495m of climbing over about four hours. It is a straightforward way to see Wellington on foot, with transfers to and from the track included so you can focus on the walk itself.

Along the route, the views shift between rural, coastal, and urban landscapes. On clear days, the outlook stretches across Wellington City and Harbour, with distant views reaching the Kaikōura Ranges, Marlborough Sounds, and the Tararua and Orongorongo Ranges. Travelling south to north through the Wellington region gives the walk a strong sense of scale, from open hill country to the city edge.
