Tahiti: Tour of the East or West Coast (Half Day)

Explore Tahiti on a half day coastal tour, choosing either the greener East Coast or the beach-lined West Coast.

On the East Coast, the landscape shifts into a wilder side of the island, where mountains meet the ocean. You’ll visit the unique Tahiti Lighthouse and its black sand beaches, a stop that ties directly to the area’s history. The route also includes a spectacular natural phenomenon on the coast, along with a paradise-like natural setting described as a total change of scenery, where you can even swim. Another viewpoint opens onto Papeete Harbour and Moorea View, giving a wider sense of Tahiti’s coastline and surrounding seascape.

If you choose the West Coast, the focus turns to beaches, lagoons, and cultural sites. Stops may include the beautiful museum that traces the history of Tahiti and its islands, with historical objects and sculptures, and the Maraa Caves, set in dense greenery. The coast here also features white sandy beaches, often edged with coral, an 18-hole international golf course surrounded by mountains, and a black sand beach where you may spot surfers and, depending on the season, whales. The tour ends at a park with a waterfall, body of water, flowers, fruit trees, and eels, a calm final stop on the western side of the island.
