Meet at your accommodation, hotel or ship, then drive for 45 minutes to 555 metres for a mountain top view before continuing into Martinborough, an award-winning wine region known for food and wine experiences shaped by local producers.

This tour focuses on direct access to the people behind the wines. Meet the wine maker for a tour that explains wine making and the seasonal variation of Martinborough, with a cheese tasting alongside the 2024 vintage recognised by the Decanter Wine Awards. Tastings include Pinot Noir, Merlot, a Rosé with a Pinot and Merlot blend, Semillon, and Chardonnay.

At Luna Estate, take part in a vertical tasting with a wine expert, comparing Pinot Noir from 2016, 2018, 2020 Eclipse, 2020 Silver River, and 2021. This gives a clear sense of how different vintages and labels express themselves over time.

The gourmet lunch stop includes 7 wine tastings at Coney Wines, where you meet wine maker Lisa Coney and explore Alsace-style wines and a 2024 Pinot Noir from the soils of the Te Muna Valley. Shared board menu items may include arancini, slow-cooked beef cheeks, lamb rump, beetroot spinach and walnut salad with artisan bread, Kentucky Fried Cauliflower with mānuka honey, and crunchy cornflake prawns with tamarillo and chilli chutney.
